Lions District 306 D8
Neighbours serving neighbours
We are a Lions club based in Galle, in the south of Sri Lanka. Our members give their time, skills and money to practical service projects in and around the city.
What we do
Our work covers dengue awareness, support for expectant parents, dansalas, care for elders, scholarships for children from low-income families, beach cleanups and home gardening training.
Our mission
To serve the people of Galle and its surrounding villages where help is needed, working alongside local partners and government offices.
Part of Lions Clubs International
Lions Clubs International is a worldwide network of volunteer service clubs. Its motto is "We Serve". Our club belongs to Lions District 306 D8 in Sri Lanka. Some older posts show the earlier district name, 306 A2.
Our Leo club
We sponsor the Matara Marians Leo Club at St. Mary's Convent, Matara. Leo clubs give young people the chance to lead service projects.
