Who we are
This website is run by the Lions Club of Galle City New Century, Galle, Sri Lanka. You can contact us on 077 373 7824.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into our forms: your name, email address or phone number, your message, and any other details the form asks for, such as an organisation name or the amount and cause of a pledged donation.
If you upload proof of a bank transfer, we receive that file. Please hide any details on it that we do not need.
We never collect card numbers or bank passwords on this website.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to you, to arrange membership, volunteering or partnership, and to match and record donations.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone outside the club, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
If you tick "Keep my name private" when you pledge, we will not publish your name.
Where it goes
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you send a form, it is checked for spam by Cloudflare Turnstile and then emailed to club officers through an email delivery service. Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser to do this.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep basic records of donations for the club's accounts.
Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites. We also count, without any personal details, how often donation buttons are clicked and forms are sent.
This website does not set cookies. The map on the contact page loads from OpenStreetMap only if you choose to show it.
Photos and the people we help
We do not publish the names of individual beneficiaries, children or residents of elders' homes, or anyone's medical or financial details.
Photos showing children or vulnerable adults are published only when consent has been confirmed. If you would like a photo removed, call us on 077 373 7824.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the details we hold about you. Call us on 077 373 7824 and we will respond as soon as we can.
