Donation policy

How you can give

We accept gifts by bank transfer, bank QR code, cheque and in person. We do not take card payments at present.

We do not use pop-ups, countdown timers or pressure to ask for donations.

How gifts are used

Each pledge is recorded against the cause the donor chooses. Gifts to the General Fund are used where the club's Board of Directors judges the need to be greatest.

If we cannot use a gift for the cause chosen, we will contact the donor before using it elsewhere.

Acknowledgements and receipts

After we confirm your gift, a club officer will contact you. If you need a written acknowledgement, please ask.

Anonymity

Donors may ask us not to publish their name. We still need a way to contact them to confirm their gift.

Tax

The club makes no claim about the tax treatment of donations. Donors should seek their own advice.

Mistakes and refunds

If you made a gift by mistake, call us on 077 373 7824 as soon as possible and the Treasurer will review your request.

Lions Clubs International Foundation

The Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is a separate organisation. Gifts made through this website support our club's own projects.
